Having the right mindset is important to position you as a great, and exceptional writer. The following are fundamental mindset you must have as a writer:   1. See your writing as an art: See yourself as an artist, when you do so, the level of attention you give to your writing will differ. Go beyond being a good writer. Think of a painter or an artist, how they meticulously draw and blend colours, I'm sure you'll agree with me that they pay a lot of attention.   You don't use words just because they are good or sound nice, but because it fits perfectly into your story and what it is you want to convey.
