By Desmond Ibhagbe

No sooner had the ears of Nigerians finished from the impulse of the arrest and suspension of acting EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Magu, on charges of corruption and insubordination, were they faced with yet another drama involving acting MD of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei.

A case not far from Fr. Isreal Anaweokhai's remission on Magu's in his work, "

Highlight of this probe was the dramatic fainting of the NDDC boss when he was asked to X-ray the comical "take care of ourselves" 1.5 billion naira expenditure captured by his report.

This bemuses one to think why members of the National Assembly would endanger not just the poor masses, but now their lives.

A puzzle best solved by the adage that goes thus; "when we pluck out our eyes for the sake of our enemies, we would fail to see our friends".

Again, the show sequel to the fainting seem to have unraveled the bewilderment why COVID-19 have been reckoned highly among the political class of the country.

Again, there are questions whether there is immunity to COVID-19 for the patricians "like they've had in the justice system" or is the "Pondei Scene" another avenue to declare sieging victims to our common patrimony so as to yet again "take care of ourselves"?
